A 7 year old boy generated $22 million (RM90 million) in revenue last year from his YouTube channel by just reviewing toys.
Ryan, the 7 year old ”host” for the channel Ryan ToysReview recently jumped from Forbes’ annual list of the highest earning YouTube account from No. 8 last year.
The channel has over 17 million followers and has released over 1200 videos with over 26 billion views so far.
I’m entertaining and I’m funny,” Ryan, who wants to be a game developer when he grows up, recently told NBC.
The family run channel started out slowly in 2015 when one of their video went viral.
The video featured Ryan opening and reviewing a box containing more than 100 toys from Pixar’s “Cars” series. It has close to 935 million views.
Today, he also has a line of Ryan’s World toys and clothes, which are selling at Walmart. The toys he features often sell out in minutes. There are also plans for his videos to be repackaged and distributed through Amazon and Hulu.
