A 33-year-old man is facing jail time after threatening his own mother for not preparing instant noodles for him upon request.
On the 21st of January, Faridah Ngah, 58, was resting at home before her son, Mohd Shaiful Hazran Razali, woke up at 12.30pm and demanded her to prepare him his favorite instant noodle.
Since they were fresh out of instant noodles, Faridah told her son that there weren’t any left. This enraged Shaiful and an argument ensued between mother and son.
During the argument, Shaiful threatened to punch his mother and cause bodily harm to her.
The victim, scared for her life and well-being, rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint against her own son, which then resulted in his arrest on the 24th of January 2019.
According to the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate Court, Shaiful will serve 9 months in prison after pleading guilty for crime instead of the maximum two years.
