A restaurant worker, 25, was slapped after telling a customer not to smoke in a restaurant at Jalan Makmur 25/64, Seksyen 25 in Shah Alam on Tuesday, at 12.30pm.
Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Baharudin Mat Taib said, the incident happened when the restaurant worker advised three customers who were smoking in that restaurant.
“However, the advise was returned with a slapped on the left cheek by one of the customer.”
“The suspected group then left he scene after making payments at the counter of the restaurant,” he said in a statement today.
According to him, early investigation of the incident point that at that time, there were two workers and five other customers in that restaurant. He added that, upon further investigation, all three of the customers are rarely seen coming to the restaurant.
“Police officers have taken the CCTV footage of that restaurant and have identified the suspects involved.
“In conjunction, we request the main suspect to come forward and surrender themselves to help the investigation”, he said.
This case will be investigated under Section 323, Punishment For Voluntarily Causing Hurt.
